Labs User Experience Designer

We're looking for an exceptional User Experience Designer to join our rapid prototyping and incubation team, as part of an organization that's committed to enabling new and innovative web experiences for hundreds of millions of people around the world. This position requires a designer who will thrive in fast paced environments where things are in a constant state of flux, and who will be good at prioritizing user experience issues in order to hit weekly product delivery targets.
 
As an integral part of the Mozilla Labs team, the successful candidate will responsible for meeting the user experience design needs for a wide range of experiments and high profile projects, as well as being engaged in the brainstorming and design of prototypes and mockups for new user experiences. The incumbent will also work in close collaboration with the Firefox product team as we work to incubate and integrate new products and services into our mainstream offerings.
 
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Strong background in human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, or related field (BS/MS in CS) or equivalent design and interaction design fu
* Experience with HCI methodologies including wire framing, flow charting, light-weight user testing
* Experience designing user interfaces for consumer facing applications
* Experience prototyping with HTML/CSS and Javascript
* Strong, clean visual design sense
* Outstanding initiative and coordination skills including the ability to effectively partner across functional and remote teams
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
