He/she will work with Sales, Account Management, and other super-heroes to close business by providing exceptional support than competitive alternatives. This person is also a great listener and possesses analytical skills to grasp complex topics. Experience in digital advertising technology and experience working with a direct sales team and digital ad agencies is a plus.
The Sales Planner will work in the following areas:
✓ Rapidly acquire a thorough understanding of Varick Media Management’s offerings, reporting analysis, competitive advantages, resources and processes and articulate them persuasively to prospects and customers
✓ Serve as internal point person for all RFP (request for proposal) requests received by sales team and prepare creative and strategic responses based on client goals/objectives
✓ Assist sales team with customized presentations by preparing key data points, findings and relevant research
✓ Support sales team in all facets of sales organization including updating and maintaining CRM system, revising proposals as needed, assisting with client inquiries and triaging final insertion orders to internal and external parties
✓ Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through rapid responses to customer inquiries and by occasionally overseeing implementation and account management as necessary
✓ Work on special projects of strategic importance at the direction of management
Qualifications:
✓ 1 – 2 years previous experience with online media agencies or ad sales organizations a plus
✓ Firm understanding of digital marketplace and ad formats (display video, mobile, rich media) a plus
✓ Strong analytic skills, including high level of experience with Excel, PowerPoint (InDesign and KeyNote a plus)
✓ Intelligent, outgoing individual with interpersonal skills and solid work ethic
✓ Excellent business writing, training, communication, highly organizational and strong presentation skills
✓ Detail oriented, responsive to deadlines, able to juggle many tasks at once
