Global Community Product Manager

We need a strong and talented product manager who will drive our community vision across global markets using products, social media and user-generated content.

To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about well-designed web products, user-centric standards, and current and evolving best practices in software development.

Essential functions
* Drive HomeAway Community across entire portfolio of global listing sites and product lines
* Drive the launch of new products by collaborating with design, marketing & sales teams on target communications and product roll out programs
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are clearly defined and properly phased to facilitate timely delivery of functionality
* Manage resolution of urgent technical issues while communicating changes to global business stakeholders

Candidate Profile
To be considered for the position, you must have demonstrated relevant and current expertise in directing online program strategy and development on consumer-focused sites.    

* Strong track record of managing or rolling out community sites
* 5+ years in a high-tech environment, including 2+ years of Product Management in a web-based model of solutions delivery
* Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing complex web projects and implementation of web applications, while delivering on schedule
* Experience utilizing web analytics to aid business decisions
* Ability to manage large international projects in fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated experience in adopting product management best practices, standards & policies
* Proven ability to collaborate closely with design and usability to drive product enhancements, preferably in Agile development environment
* Focus on project management and back end execution of product vision
* Highly collaborative team contributor able to manage expectations and build consensus with large number of stakeholders
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* High level of initiative and desire to create a world-class user experience for our customers
* Experience in the travel vertical is a plus
* BS or BA in related field
