What is this position all about?
This opportunity is about amazing code and a passion for developing something greater with Heaven.com. We are looking for a very skilled Web Developer to code a new web platform and applications. Social media experience and the thrill of building something from scratch are definitely a great addition to this role.
What will ‘accountabilities’ look like for the Web Developer?
- Architect and develop a completely new cloud-based e-Commerce platform.
- Take creative ideas and turn them into elegant and functional code that you have no hesitation to revisit, rework or omit.
- Learn new languages and/or development processes quickly
- Be excited at the opportunity to exercise your creativity in a rapid prototyping environment that changes direction.
- Utilize your skills in user experience to create frictionless functionality
What do you need to have in order to be ready for this opportunity?
- You are a really smart engineer
- A passion for developing sites like heaven.com
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Web development experience using MVC framework
- Excellent experience, knowledge, and perspective around social commerce, cloud architecture, with prior platform development and e-commerce infrastructure development being a big plus.
- Solid communication skills
- Fundamental understanding of programming languages such as PHP, Python or Perl with bonus points for C++ skill
- Unix and Linux proficiency
- Knowledge of and experience working with relational databases
- Strong experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript/AJAX
