Primary Job Responsibilities:

Account Operations and Strategic Planning:

§  Collaborates with the AD on overall strategic planning and fiscal management for the account

§  Has a thorough understanding of the client/agency contract, retained scope of work, budget, and overall communications program, and leads projects accordingly

§  Guides the development, writing, and presentation of incremental project proposals, scopes of work, and staffing plans (for projects beyond the contracted retainer)

§  Identifies opportunities to integrate other agency services into the overall client scope of work.  Works with AD to bring new opportunities to the client

o    Manage overall production budget, staffing, and time reports with an eye on overall account profitability


Project Leadership:

§  Guides junior team members on strategy development, presentation, and implementation of individual projects

§  Coaches and oversees junior team members on identifying, planning, and managing key deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for individual projects

§  Reviews, evaluates, and critiques creative ideas/output, to ensure that work meets brand and project strategies/objectives, client demands, and agency quality standards

§  Has a thorough understanding of print and broadcast production processes and oversees junior team members on the overall direction of print and broadcast projects

§  Coaches and oversees the junior team on the execution of all individual job details including client billing, broadcast traffic, T&R, etc.

§  Depending on client and/or media, measures, analyzes, and reports project performance

§  Has an advanced understanding of advertising and media industry trends/developments, and uses this knowledge to present business building ideas for the client and agency

Required Experience:

  • 5-7 years previous work experience in an agency setting
  • Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience
