Vice President, Global Analytics

RetailMeNot, Inc. is looking for an experienced individual to lead the Company’s Global Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s Global Business Intelligence strategy, which includes ownership of the Company’s global data set, delivery of clear, reliable performance metrics, deriving actionable insight from complex business data and leveraging data to understand and improve business processes. They must develop a detailed understanding of the Company’s business operations as well as a thorough knowledge of available business intelligence technologies. The Vice President will report to the CFO.

Responsibilities :
  • Develop and execute a global business intelligence strategy leveraging RetailMeNot, Inc's enterprise-grade web analytics solution and transactional data set
  • Work with the Company’s engineering team to identify gaps in the Company’s global data set, build and manage a global data roadmap and provide direction to the Company’s data architect and data engineers
  • Identify strategic areas of the Company that can benefit from improved data accessibility; work with data engineering team and business analysts to make data available through the Company’s web-based reporting tools
  • Work with global leadership team to translate business objectives into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for new and existing products and platforms
  • Interface with senior leadership from Merchandising, Product Management, Marketing and Finance, to understand business challenges and collaboratively develop solutions that address business needs
  • Establish and maintain a company data governance process
  • Recruit, manage and mentor a growing team of functional and country specific business analysts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics or related discipline. MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in an eCommerce or other internet-based environment in a business intelligence capacity
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams to drive technical design and implementation of business intelligence and web analytics solutions
  • Experience working with large transactional data sets and combining transactional data with web, social and mobile data to create a comprehensive set of cross-channel capabilities
  • Keen business judgment, focus, ability to see the 'big picture' and to prioritize
  • Strong analytical/modeling skills with understanding of statistical techniques (e.g. hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments) and consulting with internal clients to develop actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present and translate complex information to executive and technical teams in relevant business terms
  • Working knowledge of applicable technologies and concepts including:
  • Data warehousing and data mining
  • Web analytics solutions (e.g. Omniture Digital Marketing Suite including Site Catalyst and Discover)
  • Enterprise-grade BI solutions (e.g. MicroStrategy, Cognos, etc.) as well as smaller solutions (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, etc.)
  • Traditional database technologies (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with big data solutions such as Hadoop and columnar technologies (preferably Vertica)
