Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
 
The Technical Lead is responsible for implementing technical solutions for MarketLive’s clients’ e-commerce websites. The Technical Lead is the internal “expert” on applying the technical components of MarketLive’s proprietary platform to address specific customer requirements and must have a thorough understanding of the capabilities and benefits of the solution. As a technologist with client-facing responsibilities, the Technical Lead is responsible both for (1) leading all aspects of a project’s technical implementation, including translating functional requirements into technical specifications and implementing the solution, as well as (2) interacting with the client’s team and the internal Project Manager to ensure successful completion of projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a deep technical understanding of MarketLive’s proprietary software product, including its implementation, configuration and customization.
  • Provide technical expertise on client projects utilizing MarketLive’s standard internal processes as well as client or project specific processes.
  • Participate on project teams to design, develop and implement the required customer solution.
  • Identify and quantify the customers’ technical and business needs and the value of addressing those needs. Map MarketLive’s software capabilities to those needs, build consensus around the required technical solution and implement that solution.
  • Present technical solutions in an articulate and professional manner to internal and external customers.
  • Act as the technical expert to coach client and MarketLive team members with respect to customization, configuration and use of MarketLive’s software
  • Work with technology partners to integrate with their products as part of an overall client solution
  • Build positive relationships with MarketLive’s Product Development Department to give and receive education and feedback on product features and implementation issues.
  • Build positive relationships with MarketLive’s Sales Department in planning and coordinating sales efforts related to such things as Statements of Work, Proposals, and Project Plans
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of software implementation experience with wide ranging knowledge of technical processes (including installation, implementation, coding and testing) to support the revenue chain in client environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of software development experience in Java, JSP, HTML, XML
  • Minimum of 3 years of eCommerce experience focused on front end functionality.
  • Experience with MapForce (Altova), data mapping tool.
  • Experience with Bronto, Cybersource, Scene 7, Omniture APIs and coding highly desired
  • Solid understanding of software enterprise architectures, the application of technology and full life-cycle customer application implementations.
  • Working understanding of modern enterprise application platform technologies, such as:
  1. Web Architecture Technologies (Spring, Struts, Hibernate)
  2. Distributed computing (J2EE, ESB, EJB, SOAP)
  3. Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX)
  4. Databases (Oracle, SQL Server)s
  5. Applications (Commercialware, Ecometry, Oracle Financials, SAP)
  • Demonstrated history of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Verifiable presentation skills, as a confident communicator who is enthusiastic, self-starting and flexible in style and approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
