Game Closure has is seeking a Contract Mobile User Interface Designer at their office in Mountain View, CA. In this role you will work alongside an experienced games team with more than two dozen shipped titles to learn about the process of creating artwork for mobile games and how a game development studio functions. Potential candidates must demonstrate a broad understanding of techniques and software used in the game industry, specifically Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Illustrator. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about mobile games with an understanding of the market to match, and also have a solid foundation in graphic design. Please provide relevant samples of high-quality graphic art along with a current resume. Only 2D art portfolios will be considered. This is a 3 month contract position with potential to become a longer or fulltime position based on performance.
We don't have an exhaustive list of criteria for this role -- we're still at the size where we can still fit the role around the individual and their interests (rather than the other way around). Simply put, we're looking for enthusiastic, excited people who have a strong desire to learn new skills, are passionate about mobile games, can analyze the UI of top games in the market, and are comfortable using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. No prior experience is necessary, but having worked in an art-related field with animation/illustration would be awesome!
