3D Graphics Engineer

KIXEYE seeks a talented graphics engineering mastermind interested in taking their already extensive knowledge of coding, but still willing to learn things on the fly solving problems they never knew existed. This is a highly visible role, working on a brand new 3D game title. We are currently hiring for multiple roles on this team, including senior and lead positions. The 3D Graphics Engineer will be the cornerstone of a project driving the technology responsible for the look and visual ‘feel’ of a brand new game title.  

What you get to do every day:
  • Support, maintain, and develop a proprietary 3D Graphics Engine
  • Debug and fix graphics visual and performance bugs
  • Implement game systems logic and collaborate with other engineers to provide solid coding solutions
  • Write clear documentation for engine code
  • Provide technical support to production
  • Assist with production technology tasks as required

What you bring to the role:
  • 5-7+ years game development experience with multiple shipped products.
  • Proven experience in developing high performance engines on modern hardware
  • Expertise in low level 3D graphics APIs such as DirectX or OpenGL
  • Expertise in shader languages such as Cg or HLSL
  • Strong 3D math skills
  • Fluency in C/C++, excellent architectural skills
  • Experience with C#, Max/Maya scripting, Python
  • Knowledge of Max/Maya, Z-Brush, Mudbox
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to accurately and realistically schedule tasks
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion with a high degree of quality
  • Ability to work with with multiple departments as required
  • Ability to collaborate with team to develop and drive deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for games

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ActionScript 3
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and development
