LinkedIn is looking for a dynamic, strategic, savvy consultative media sales professional to join our Toronto-based advertising sales team.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online and/or traditional media sales at a top publisher, platform or top-ranked Nielsen/Net Ratings site. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate that they are:
  • inspirational, influential, honest and constructive, able to make fast, high quality decisions while still able to balance their personal and professional lives
  • able to scale their work, think globally, leverage the work of those around them – to do more with less
  •  results driven – can set clear, measurable goals and deliver. That they learn from their mistakes and improve through experience. The Media Sales Professional is expected to understand and be able to articulate the overall business objectives of the LinkedIn value proposition to the advertising community.
-Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive revenue to their business.
-Develop and cultivate deep relationships with client senior executives at SVP, VP and CMO levels.
-Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries.
-Hit target revenue quota.
-Pitch new business to advertising agencies and direct clients.
-Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information.
-Update and create sales proposals.

-5+ years of Media Sales experience.
-Relationships with top marketing decision makers at national Fortune 1000 companies and Top agencies.
-Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships.
-Demonstrated track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery.
-Understand how internet advertising technology works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms.
