Position Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the VP, General Manager oversees operations in a Landmark Health Market, working to ensure high quality patient care, excellence in client relations and meeting of all financial, operational, and quality metrics.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Development to foster and grow new business in the market, meeting overall company objectives and budgeted growth
  • Work with the Regional Medical Director, CMO, VP of Clinical Operations, and SVP of Operations to set utilization goals, operational and quality metrics, and oversee all of these metrics
  • Provide leadership to plan and execute adjustments to the clinical delivery model and operations to meet changing needs
  • Provide oversight for continuous quality improvement initiatives. Build and maintain positive relationships with health plan business and clinical counterparts
  • Coordinate with the Client Account Lead in managing health plan clients and delivering value. Assign Company clinical resources to meet stakeholders’ expectations—health plans, members, family members and Landmark colleagues
  • Oversee the delivery of high quality care to eligible health plan members
  • Assign clinical resources to meet operational needs
  • Collaborate with Medical Director, CMO, and VP of Clinical Operations to plan and execute initiatives to continuously improve the clinical delivery model
  • Set utilization targets that are consistent with business needs and operational and financial goals
  • Monitor utilization, operational metrics and quality metrics to achieve targeted objectives
  • Monitor all metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and/or staff education to produce optimal outcomes
  • Assist Regional Medical Director to recruit and retain high quality clinical staff
  • Direct oversight of non-provider interdisciplinary team: nurse care managers, social workers, nutritionists, pharmacists, and care management assistants, including oversight of adherence to NCQA case management standards
  • Coach, mentor, and counsel mid-level clinical managers/supervisors/leads to meet expected performance levels
  • Work with Landmark providers, community based physicians, and other ancillary providers in the community to resolve issues and improve clinical programs
  • Promote the Landmark program in the local provider and health plan community, to foster growth of existing programs and develop new health plan relationships
  • Participate with senior management on special projects/initiatives
  • Provide local expertise in new business development
  • Other duties as assigned



Candidate Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of administrative / management experience preferred in health care, preferably in the managed care setting
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field or business administration, Masters level a plus
