POP is looking for a Client Partner to grow and increase profitability on new and existing accounts. This position will report to the VP of Client Development.
Client Partners are responsible for managing a book of business with mutually agreed upon revenue & margin goals. S/he will provide senior to mid-level leadership and strategic guidance to accounts that are managed by our Client Services team. For new client acquisition, they partner with our Business Development team and are expected to drive the pitch process and then continue to provide strategic leadership to those clients once on board. The Client Partner will possess strong business acumen and the ability to leverage all agency capabilities to solve our clients’ challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop client strategy & facilitate/inspire the team through the pitch process
- Identify new opportunities with clients and sell ideas that deliver on those opportunities
- Explore, establish & uphold high standards of account management
- Collaborate effectively across all departments and agency disciplines
- Exemplify & support the POP brand
- Meet or exceed sales goals as defined by Vice President, Client Development
- Prepare, lead and/or participate in client presentations
- Participate in weekly Client Development Team meetings
- Participate in networking events during and after normal business hours as necessary
- Assist in the planning and execution of client development events
- Research prospective client opportunities; contact prospective clients to arrange meetings with team
- Meet individually with VP, Client Development on a weekly basis
- Develop proposals for RFPs/RFQs as assigned by VP, Client Development; deliver proposals in timely fashion
- Keep accurate, timely data in Salesforce.com
- Participate in off-site meetings that may require overnight travel
- Manage and expand revenues from roster of clients as assigned by VP, Client Development
- Proactively engage Account Directors to develop strategies for expanding scope of existing client relationships
- Assist VPCD on team-related initiatives as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
- Superior client management skills with experience building and maintaining senior and executive-level client relationships
- History of success with: web, mobile, brand and strategic consulting
- Creative thinker with analytical problem-solving skills
- Industry thought leader with the ability to network with clients and contacts
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Hard working with fierce attention to detail
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Technologically sound with an interest in gaming a plus
- Aggressive, tenacious and proactive approach to sales
- Strong knowledge and experience in marketing and advertising with emphasis on interactive marketing, direct marketing, strategy, analytics, technology and/or emerging trends
- Minimum of 5 years successful account management experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency, or direct marketing industries
- Bachelor’s degree with MBA preferred
- Digital agency experience a must; traditional agency and/or client-side marketing experience a plus
- Client-level references preferred
