Square’s mission is to make commerce easy and we’re seeking an energetic, innovative marketer to join our fast-growing Business team and help drive growth efforts at key industry events, trade shows and conferences.  

You will:

  • Represent Square and demo our products at key industry events, trade shows and conferences
  • Assess merchant needs and recommend potential product solutions
  • Sign up and onboard new merchants and generate leads to be used by our Sales teams
  • Develop understanding of our core products to support key merchant use cases
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to optimize the acquisition and conversion funnels
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends and competition in the mobile commerce space
  • Identify and surface key merchant insights to Product and Engineering teams
  • Troubleshoot and support existing merchants on-site
  • Exude kindness, patience, knowledge and energy when engaging with existing and potential merchants

You have:

  • Have experience as a brand ambassador or field marketer for B2B technology products
  • BA/BS degree required, ideally in Marketing Business, Economics or Communications
  • 3 to 4 years of Field Marketing, Event Marketing or brand ambassador experience
  • A friendly, outgoing demeanor and passion for technology
  • Strong communication skills and enjoy public speaking
  • An independent work style with solid time management skills
  • An assertive, resilient and persuasive attitude towards evangelism
  • A willingness to be coached and interest in implementing feedback
  • Dedication to consistent improvement of your craft
  • A scrappy work style and will do what it takes to get the job done

This is a 12-month contract position, with potential opportunity for a full-time role based on performance.
