As a Pharmacist you will create a customer focused environment that excels in customer/patient care by dispensing prescriptions and consulting with patients to maximize sales. You will ensure accurate dispensing of all prescriptions in compliance with all Federal & Provincial legislation and company policy. You will deliver effective pharmaceutical care and maximize clinic and dispensary profitability and productivity. Responsibilities include: • Processing prescriptions using the triple check method, in accordance with professional and legal requirements. • Ensuring proper storage and security of pharmaceuticals. • Ensuring that narcotics and controlled drugs are properly received and recorded. • Minimizing medication incidents according to company policy and procedure and in the event of any incident, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. • Ensuring that clients receive clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the pharmacist's manual and the client services agreement. • Ensuring that professional profiles for all patients are complete and receive ongoing maintenance in a timely manner. • Ensuring that patient confidentiality and privacy are protected. • Assisting in preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Qualifications and Skills Required: • Current pharmacist license from the Ontario College of Pharmacists. • Three years of retail, hospital or long-term care pharmacy experience. • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines and ensure the pharmacy operates within the company policies and procedures. • Professional, confident, high integrity, accountable • Possess or willing to complete the Opioid Dependence Treatment Course provided by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health within 6 months of hired date. • Strong typing and computer skills including Kroll, MS Office Suite and email.
