BAI, a DoD contractor, seeks experienced Senior Engineers capable of the application of systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapon systems: review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. System engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Ability to analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
 
Responsibilities
Performs engineering duties, including:
  1. Applies systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, or test military weapon systems.
  2. Reviews and prepares system engineering and technical analyses, reports, engineering change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  3. Applies system engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  4. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements or tests, automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
Knowledge
Must possess working knowledge of:
1.       Systems engineering principles necessary to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapon systems: review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
2.       Functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
3.       Standard disciplines required to analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
 
Experience
This position requires:
1.       A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the development, planning, testing, and evaluation of aircraft systems
2.       Demonstrated experience in aircraft, propulsion, avionics, electronic warfare, training, mission planning, or weapon systems and software, interoperability, development technologies, test and evaluation, and equipment specifications.
3.       Demonstrated experience in two of the following areas: manufacturing engineering, production, material characterization, structural analysis, reliability engineering, systems engineering, software development, software life cycle support, avionics development, mission system integration, vertical flight aerodynamics, tilt-rotor mechanical statics and dynamics, turbo shaft engine thermodynamics, configuration management, specification development, environmental impact analysis, weapon system performance, data protection planning, or flight instrumentation.
 
Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university is required.
 
An additional postgraduate degree in a business, management, engineering or related discipline will be considered equivalent to four years of professional experience in the development, planning, testing and evaluation of aircraft systems.
 
Clearance
Condition of employment - must be able to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
 
Citizenship
Must have US citizenship.
