Digital Media Supervisor

As a Digital Media Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of media assignments at Havas Digital. You are also expected to maintain a high level of knowledge of your clients’ line of business (staying on top of industry trends, competitive, etc.). You organize/manage workflow; coordinating the Planners and Assistant Planners in order to fulfill all media planning, analysis and scheduling requests. To be most successful, you must be organized, sensitive, a trainer, a team player, and an initiator.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Account Director to assess online media needs and identify opportunities to expand Havas Media's involvement in clients' marketing efforts.
  • Manage the media planning and buying process from start to finish.
  • Maintain working relationships with clients at appropriate levels.
  • Train team members (Planner & Assistant Planners) and act as mentor.
  • Manage client media schedules and reconcile versus budgets.
  • Review all media orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve as needed.
  • Work with media sales community, in-house research departments, client and creative agencies to develop unique and strategically appropriate media approaches, including the exploration of venues (sites, creative technologies, etc.) that utilize emerging technologies pertinent to our clients' objectives.
  • Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating and sharing case studies, POVs and seminar/conference summaries.
  • Review all agency interaction with traffic, production and creative departments within our clients' and partners' organizations and refine work processes to improve efficiency, work product and client service.
 
 
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of media planning/buying experience at a media agency required
  • Strong knowledge of component parts of strategic interactive traffic building (i.e., planning/negotiating media, processing insertion orders, ad-serving knowledge of post-buy reporting/billing, etc.)
  • Strong ability to judge and quantify results of advertising / promotional efforts placed on behalf our clients (i.e., understand true value of ROI, understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client/product) and know what to do with this information (i.e., how to optimize placements, which promotions to recommend, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of research resources such as @Plan, Nielsen/NetRatings, Simmons and other research/planning tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion within established deadlines.
  • Requires excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Online video experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with ad serving tools, eg: DoubleClick DFA, Comscore, TNS, MediaPlex etc.
