About You
You’re an experienced technologist who wants to harness the power of the datacentre with code. Designing and integrating tools via APIs to improve automation, efficiency and insight in all aspects of development and operations is your passion.  You enjoy working with a wide variety of people, and helping identify and develop engineering talent.
You have hands on experience with :
 Architecting complex infrastructure systems 
 Systems Administration, Diagnostics and Performance Tuning (Linux)
 Configuration Management (Puppet)
 Public and Private Cloud (Cloudstack EC2)
 Creating web apps and APIs (Ruby with Sinatra or Rails)
 Code versioning (Git / Subversion)
 Managing Web applications (Java / Resin / Jetty)
 Load Balancing web apps (Netscaler / Varnish)
 Availability Monitoring (Nagios / Opsview)
 Managing Databases (SQL Server / MySQL / Postgres)
What you’ll do
At HomeAway, we value quality, efficiency and speed. We’re building tools that facilitate the building, installing, configuring and monitoring of our infrastructure, and enable continuous deployments while automating the application side monitoring, alerting, trending and reporting. 
As the devops systems architect you will play a key role in driving that infrastructure platform vision at HomeAway.  Managing large volumes of data and creating/integrating various systems to improve availability, ease of use, and enabling stability during rapid end to end deployment.
Working with a team of engineers and with stakeholders in a variety of roles, you will provide leadership by example;  leveraging deep strong technical knowledge, software development skills, and clear concise communication.  Working to ensure that outstanding quality and performance standards are achieved in everything we do.
