User Interface Developer

Indeed.com is hiring a User Interface Developer who truly understands our users and has a great eye for creating simple, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. As a UI Developer, you will have a solid understanding of web technologies and really enjoy creating, updating, and delivering designs that demonstrate a keen understanding of our end users. Indeed.com has a passionate and creative techie culture in Central Austin. We are experiencing tremendous growth as we continue to make our users’ experience the most comprehensive and relevant in the job search industry.
Responsibilities
Interact with product managers to define and develop new products, features, and enhancements
Build mockups and prototypes to communicate and refine product/feature concepts
Contribute scalable, production-ready code for user-facing features
Develop reusable application components
Promote best practices for web user experience
Requirements
Proven track record of innovation for making products more usable and useful for customers
Ability to learn quickly and adjust priorities in a dynamic environment with short release cycles.
BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience.
Hands-on expertise with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of usability and coding practices for accessibility
Experience with consumer facing websites
Demonstrated experience with web user interface toolkits such as JQuery a super plus.
