The Opportunity: SEM Analyst: As an SEM Analyst on the Internet Marketing team, you will implement and influence the design of the overall account optimization and strategy, working closely with the SEM Director. This person will have proven superior analytical skills and a strong desire to exponentially grow the SEM channel for an industry-leading e-commerce company. One Kings Lane SEM program has the scale of a major e-commerce player, but the growth potential of a fairly recent account with new challenges introduced by the flash sale model. The SEM Analyst function is designed to support the SEM Director and take on more responsibilities as appropriate. Responsibilities: - Design dashboards and scalable reporting methods on Google Adwords and Bing Ads (Yahoo & Bing) programs to allow efficient monitoring of the business, using Excel and tools like Marin Software - Analyze performance of keyword portfolio and propose optimizations that maximize return on advertising spend - Design and implement keyword expansion methods that allow to scale the SEM business - Analyze adcopy tests and draw conclusions to drive the overall SEM messaging strategy - Analyze user behavior, propose and execute landing page optimizations - Iterate and scale on overall testing strategy - Participate in planning and forecasting, propose new initiatives and projects to expand SEM program Skills and Experience: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a marketing or quantitative discipline - 2+ year of performance online marketing experience, with at least 1 year direct hands-on SEM experience - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - Superior excel skills (proven experience manipulating large data files and advanced formulas), proficiency with PowerPoint and Word: - Experience multi-tasking in fast-paced environments with changing priorities - Excellent execution and implementation skills, proactive and detail-oriented - Good communications skills, verbal and written - Ability to build effective business relationships across teams (e.g. Marketing, Product, Merchandising, etc.)
