Please note that this is an entry-level position in our Branded Buying department and is a great fit for a recent college graduates interested in the merchandising career field. As an Event Production Assistant you will contribute to the continued growth of One Kings Lane as an administrative support to the category buying teams. You will have the opportunity to participate in the merchandising arm of a fast-paced ecommerce business that delivers beautifully curated product daily. The Event Production Assistant will be an essential part of the team, providing an important eye for detail to ensure each sale event is presented accurately and tastefully. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with multiple projects and aggressive deadlines, has strong organizational skills, and has a pride of ownership that maintains a high bar for every task they take on. The ideal candidate will have an interest for décor and passion of product, along with ambition to learn and grow by supporting the production of daily sales events. We are looking for someone who is a natural collaborator, hungry to learn and ready to roll up their sleeves! Responsibilities:
- Support the Merchandise Assistant and Assistant Buyer to ensure accuracy in event production
- Work with Merchandise Assistant to plan the placement of product images and rename images. Collaborate with Samples Coordinator and Photo Studio team to organize samples and retouching of vendor photos
- Maintain working spreadsheets – cross-referencing information to ensure data is accurate and formatted in a way that translates to live site in a customer friendly manner
- Navigate through internal systems to communicate needs and suggest solutions for troubleshooting to Buying team
- Maintain an awareness of product and merchandise assortments to match the inventory of vendor product lines
- Allocate product and merchandise assortments as per direction of the business
Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and operate independently
- Familiarity with working with multiple cross-functional partners
- Strong communication skills
